Guava Jam
I recently bought guava and I thought I would like them because one of my favorite fruits is pineapple guava which is similar. Unfortunately, guavas have A LOT of seeds in them. The seeds are super tough and not fun to eat, so I wanted to find a way to eat the Guava without having to think about their seeds. So, I decided to make guava jam. Jam is not a pickle, but it was just as easy as a pickle and put all my mason jars to use! I have never actually made jam before, so I looked up a recipe: https://www.mexicoinmykitchen.com/guava-jam/#recipe
I added lemon when I made my guava jam.
Ingrediants:
1lb Guava
1/2 a Lemon’s juice
1 cup Sugar
1 cup of water
Recipe (you can also look at the website above for more information on guava jam)
Cut the guavas in half
cover with water in a saucepan and heat on the stove for 15 minutes
scoop out the seeds from the guava
add the guava with 1 cup of water and 1 cup of sugar to a blender
blend until smooth
pour the mixture into a sauce pan turn on the heat
cook, stirring for 30 minutes
Put in a jar
Enjoy!
