PIckled Grapefruit

After a massive fail when it came to pickling oranges, I decided to redeem myself by pickling some grapefruit! Pickled grapefruit is definitely not my favorite pickle, it was a lot better than pickled oranges. I kept this recipe plain and simple. Just the brine and the grapefruit. Side note, my favorite way to eat a grapefruit is to cut it in half the put it in a bowl.

  1. Cut a grapefruit however you would like

  2. Place the pieces in a mason jar

  3. Make the brine

    • 1/2 cup of water

    • 1/2 cup of white distilled vinegar

    • 1/4 cup of sugar

Combine in a saucepan over heat until boiling. Remove from heat and pour over the grapefruit.

4. Place the lid on.

5. Put in the fridge

Enjoy!
