Pickled radish
Once upon a time, there were five radishes in the refrigerator just laying around. They looked lonely. They were overlooked. No one wanted to chop them up and add them to a dish being cooked in the kitchen. Until… One day, they were made into PICKLES!
The radishes in the refrigerator in my home were going bad. No one was eating them. In fact, no one in my family really knew why we had radishes because we do not typically eat radishes. Rather than wasting them, I decided to pickle them because pickles make everything better!!!!!
1/2 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar
1 cup of water (should be warm)
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 and 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Radishes
Directions:
Slice the radishes and place into a bowl
Add the sugar and the warm water
Stir until the sugar is dissolved
Add the salt and the vineagar
Cover and refrigerate (the longer you wait, the more sour the radishes become)
Enjoy!
Review:
SO GOOD! The longer they were marinating in the vinegar solution, the better they tasted. I ate them plain! I just put them in a bowl and ate them like my sister eats sauerkraut! They were crunchy and salty. The radishes were also vinegary, but fortunately they were not too pungent. Instead, it was a nice mellow, sour flavor. What was great about these pickles was that they were so quick and easy to make and it did not require the stove.
